Precision Component Manufacturing Since 1966
Built on Craftsmanship, Straight Dealing and Long-Term Industrial Relationships
Alfred Lewis Engineering was founded in 1966 by immigrant brothers Alfred and Lewis Zeugne. They built the business through hard work, excellent craftsmanship, dependable delivery and long-term relationships with industrial customers.
From a traditional machining workshop, ALE has grown into a modern precision manufacturing business supporting repeat production, OEM component supply and industrial maintenance machining across a broad range of industries.
The business remains family owned, combining decades of manufacturing experience with modern equipment, controlled production systems and disciplined inspection.
About Tim Williams
My work is focused on turning capable Australian manufacturing businesses into reliable, recurring industrial supply, and a rebuilt industrial base.
At ALE, that means precision machined components, repeat parts, critical spares, second-source components and lifecycle support for OEMs, machinery builders and industrial equipment manufacturers.
I’m interested in the unglamorous parts of rebuilding manufacturing: better RFQs, clearer drawings, sensible batch sizes, supplier qualification, inspection discipline, apprenticeships, working capital and enough demand certainty for manufacturers to invest with confidence.
Australia doesn’t need to make everything. But the right parts should be made here, properly, with the right information, the right process, and a fair basis for local suppliers to compete.
